La nota rivista economica ha stilato i gruppi sportivi più preziosi nel 2022, top 25 dove c'è tanto sport americano. A rappresentare il calcio sono alcuni club inglesi inseriti nei propri colossi societari che, complessivamente, sono cresciuti del 22% da 102 a 124 miliardi di dollari. METODOLOGIA

Come spiega Forbes, la classifica coinvolge le squadre di maggior valore tra NFL, MLB, NBA, NHL e calcio per persone o società le cui partecipazioni sono superiori ai 2 miliardi di dollari. Sono state considerate ammissibili solo persone o entità con una partecipazione di maggioranza: escluso ad esempio il Barcellona, stimato 4,6 miliardi di dollari ma di proprietà di oltre 140mila membri. Sono stati inoltre inclusi i valori aziendali solo per la società madre o il socio amministratore di maggior valore delle attività legate allo sport
