ASSEN, MOTOGP: IL RACCONTO DELLA GARA
L'incidente nell'ultimo GP sul tracciato del Montmeló, dove lo strike di Lorenzo in un colpo solo ha mandato a terra Dovizioso e la coppia della Yamaha Rossi-Vinales, non ha fatto perdere fiducia a Valentino. Il Dottore è positivo: nelle ultime settimane è aumentato il feeling con la sua M1, come confermato dagli incoraggianti segnali avuti nei test di Barcellona post GP. "Nell'ultimo weekend di gara avevamo svolto un buon lavoro ai box, mi ero sentito competitivo durante i primi due giri, prima della caduta. Questa settimana lavoreremo sodo per prepararci alla bagarre provando a stare con i primi. Faremo del nostro meglio ad Assen, cercando anche di sfruttare i dati raccolti nei test", ha spiegato Rossi. I numeri stanno dalla sua parte: 10 successi, 8 nella classe regina, l'ultimo nel 2017.
Vinales: "Motivati dopo i test"
Una conferma dei passi avanti della Yamaha si ha in Vinales, autore del miglior tempo nei test: "Scendiamo ad Assen con forti motivazioni - spiega lo spagnolo - i test sono stati molto positivi, abbiamo ritrovato le buone sensazioni che avevamo avuto nell'ultimo weekend di gara. Abbiamo trovato il miglior setup della stagione, la moto è competitiva. Da qui alla fine dell'anno puntiamo a salire sul podio più volte possibile, con un occhio già rivolto al prossimo anno".
Meregalli: "Vogliamo il podio"
All'attacco anche il direttore del team Yamaha, Massimo Meregalli: "Vogliamo salire il podio, per farlo dobbiamo cercare di restare davanti in ogni turno in pista. I nostri piloti amano il tracciato di Assen, siamo fiduciosi".

I really want to get back on the M1 to confirm that the bike is working well and that we can be competitive. The championship is unfortunately already slipping away and it‘s practically impossible to win it, so we are going to concentrate on finishing the season by getting as many podiums as possible, with an eye on the future and the next season.” |
